"Maybe the solution is not another system.  Maybe the solution is less." 

Any good leader has a list of projects that can make things better, and the constant urge to improve through addition.  The result can be a constant state of overwhelm and feeling like there aren't enough hours or manpower.  

This week at a client meeting we put all the projects up on a whiteboard to quantify what it would return to the business, what it would cost to execute, and then to prioritize initiatives.  The result? Focus, permission to let go of some ideas (for now), and the ability to breathe a little easier.  Try it.
