2 Thoughts - Insight & Communication
#1: Insights
This week was a GREAT week. Going into Labor Day weekend I can confidently say I nailed it. To put it in sportsball language for my football fans - nailing my job is like handing people such a crystal clear playbook that it revolutionizes their entire communication game.
The magic happens when they realize that the key to winning includes offense AND defense - and they know EXACTLY where they stand in the line up. Then I teach them how to talk to other team members so that they can WIN.
We usually suit up thinking everyone's wired the same way as us - instead of realizing our skills are uniquely suited to our position, and out on the field we need a whole team. (And we'd likely be terrible at playing their spots.)
No guarantees you'll always make the end zone, but knowing what assets you've got and what they're uniquely capable of? That's how you fast-track your own go/no-go plays.
(Good thing I love what I do, because I'd make an atrocious sportscaster.)
#2: Two Questions to Ask Yourself
Who have you been struggling to communicate with lately? What motivates them and how can you change your communication strategy to drive results faster?
