2 Thoughts - Loops & Lines
#1: Goal Spirals
I came across something online recently called "October Theory" - the idea that Oct. 1st feels like a mini New Year's. There’s this sense that the year’s wrapping up, but with three months left there’s still time to make a final strong push toward your goals.
I have to admit, I relate to that. Around this time, I usually pull out my handy Goal Setting sheet and try to remember what I even wanted to accomplish back in January.
Lately, I’ve been thinking about progress as more of a spiral. Life rarely moves in a straight line to your goals. It’s more like a gradual climb, looping around the mountain, gaining a little more height with each pass.
October is when I pause to look back at those loops - seeing the progress, even if it wasn't always direct. It’s a helpful reminder that even when the path feels circuitous and I'm not beelining for my goals, I'm still making solid progress.
#2: One Question to Ask Yourself
What's my plan to prepare for the next loop?
