2 Thoughts - Showing Up & Building an Ecosystem
#1: Showing Up (Consistently)
We just finished our 4th Impact Trip with the 7 Figure Foundation and I had to capture this picture at the end. These are all members of our Board, wearing shirts from different events over the past 2.5 years.
During that time we have raised over $400k and used that to impact more than 1,000 people, including hurricane relief efforts in Florida, refugee transportation/food/shelter in Ukraine, house building in Mexico, and food and education issues in Chicago.
The start of this Foundation? A conversation in Tyler Jensen's driveway where he said, "I want to help more."
and I said, "I've always wanted to launch a charitable arm to our community..."
That tiny seed has yielded an abundant garden of good work - in a relatively short period of time. Tyler was relentless in showing up day after day, month after month, until this Foundation gathered it's own momentum. Along the way, we've attracted some incredible people that will carry this Foundation into the future.
What idea are you nurturing that - with a little bit of consistent showing up - could yield a huge harvest in the future?
#2: Questions to Ask Yourself
Many entrepreneurs have multiple revenue streams - or want to. For every endeavor you take on, you give up ability to focus on something, and your focus is valuable. If that's you, ask yourself these questions:
1. What has the most potential to scale profitably?
2. What is the easiest to run?
3. How do they flow together and serve one another? (Are you building a bunch of standalones or are you building an ecosystem?)
4. Which revenue stream, if it died tomorrow, would you not miss?
